Steven K. Gage
Steve Gage is an associate attorney at Schmidt, Rupke, Tess-Mattner & Fox, S.C. He obtained an undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University in 2006, and a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2010. While in law school, he interned for the Cass County (Michigan) Prosecutor’s Office, independently capturing a guilty verdict on a two-count misdemeanor bench trial. He was also a competing member of Valparaiso School of Law’s Trial Advocacy Team.
Following graduation, he practiced law for six years in Las Vegas, Nevada. He primarily represented insurance companies in complex residential and commercial construction defect cases, automobile and premises liability matters, and subrogation claims against manufacturers, distributors, and servicers of defective products.
His professional memberships include the State Bar of Wisconsin (Litigation and General Practice Sections), the Waukesha County Bar Association, the Milwaukee County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers), and the Nevada Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Nevada Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, as well as all Wisconsin Circuit Courts and administrative agencies.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys bowling, golfing, fishing, watching sports, and exploring Wisconsin with his wife, Erica.
